1.  Holes are being filled on River Road--It appears that they started today at about the mid point and are working north--not as good at total repaving but def better than nothing.  I thanked the workmen on behalf of all cyclists.--we should be hearing fewer shouts of "Hole"

2.  Signs are being installed on the narrow, shoulderless stretch of 9W between Piermont & Nyack "Share the Road"  There was a cycling fatality there earlier this summer.

I am so sorry about the recent well publicized crash in Central Park, so relieved it wasn’t worse.  What a guy Richard Bernstein is.  He was already a hero before this happened.  The way he has dealt with this accident makes it clear where that heroism comes from.  The man is special – we wish you a speedy recovery.

One would think that the Fort Lee PD would stop harassing (i.e nickle and diming for revenue through traffic tickets) cyclists or at least work mutually with the community and NY/NJ Port Authority towards a long-term GWB Cycling solution after the town received a nice payment from Team Ironman.....

I shall be retiring to the above location after Saturday's Climbathon, weather permitting, and would like to invite any of the Ride Leaders who's excursions I've been on this year, or any of my SIG Leaders, or anybody else who feels they have some responsibility for placing me on the public thoroghfare on a bicycle to join me for a frosty beverage.
