Daily News does it again.

here is a link to the Pulitzer prize winning article in last Thursday's Daily News about speeding psycholist running amok in central park - in case you missed it.

you could brush it off as another thoughtful, unbiased and well researched effort from our freinds at the daily news.  But they wouldn't be writting this stuff if they did not feel that it was connecting with a widely shared semtiment amongst thier readers.  And the cops are just chomping at the bit for this kind of attitude - another excuse to crack down on another minority group.

I might be able to provide transportation to the ride for up to 3 riders.

No bikes in the apartment - Getting around terrible NYC landlords?

Submitted by codybmusser on Mon, 08/13/2012 - 5:12pm

What's up NYCC? I was hoping you might be able to help with some advice on a terrible landlord situation. Bought a bike and had been riding in the city for a couple months, before last week while throwing the bike over my shoulder to trek up to the third floor -- my landlord turned the corner to stop me and explain that I wasn't allowed to have a bike inside. I was flabbergasted. She was right, sort of, it is in the lease, but I hadn't even thought to look for this absurd a lease ammendment.

Piermont recovery ride routes

Submitted by edeuser on Mon, 08/13/2012 - 2:28pm

I’m getting a bit sick of 9W straight there and back for my Sunday morning recovery ride.  Looking for good alternate routes to and from Piermont with little to no climbing on the way back.  I suppose this probably necessitates coming back Walnut or Churchill, but it’s been so long since I’ve gone that way that I’ve misplaced all of my old cues.  Looking for around 30-40 miles round trip from Strictly.  Scenic and quiet roads are a plus.  Any recommendations?  Thanks!

Thank you so much for all the organization and SAG.  It's a pleasure to enjoy another's cooking.

Wonderful area.  And I loved what you did with the place.  Masterful routing.  The whole series has been top rate, and this was the jewel in the crown.

Bill Cunningham On The Street

Sighted on the GCT Viaduct this morning during Summer Streets, photographing the seething hordes, was our beloved patron saint of street style, Bill Cunningham.

As my friend and I rode past, he aimed his camera in our direction. I waved and smiled widely in spontaneous joy, idiotic looking as usual in front of a camera.
