Skills level to join NYCC and shared rides

Wondering what’s the rider skill level based on timing?

Say, for instance, riding Central Park’s big loop which is 6.2 miles. One loop @ 20 min or less, three loops @..., four loops @... , five loops @...., etc… Appreciate, if anyone can fill in the blanks and provide their opinions and possibly grades of skills level. Whatever classification being used by the club. ( Possibly A, B, C, …. ? )

Thanks

Tracking bike maintenance

Hi all,

Has anyone found any good tools/websites to track what maintenace you've performed (or should be performing) based on miles ridden?

An item in the Post's page six, (please don't ask how I came upon this), says Tom Cruise is possibly purchasing a house at Sneden's Landing.

If it comes to pass how's Richard going to work that into his narrative?

Let me know if you are interested in a road bike ride, b-18, on the Blue Hill peninsula (40-60 miles) on Saturday mid-day or Mountain Biking on the Acadia carraige roads on Sunday.  I have a few extra bikes.

Proposed Bklyn velodrome is challenged. Two reasons are outright dopey.

Opposing claims: track racing is obscure; also, it'll create a large turnout of spectators. Uh, which is it? One or the other. You can't argue both. Well, no, you can...if you're illogical and don't think well.

The velodrome will create massive traffic and there's insufficient parking. Hello? Cyclists are gonna get in their cars (few NYC cyclists I know have cars) and drive to Brooklyn, snarling traffic, instead of riding their bikes?

Susan and I have timed the start of the Nyack Donut Run (http://nycc.org/node/58094) on Thursday to allow riders to ride the Thursday Morning River Road Ride (http://nycc.org/node/57391) before coming on our ride.

After leaving Grant's Tomb at 7:30 am, we plan to meet riders at~7:40 at the NY side of the GWB and at 7:50 on the NJ side giving plenty of time for returning River Road riders to hook up with us as we head out. Just let us know beforehand so we know to look for you!

Good job that this guy is off the road, but I wonder what charges, if any he would have faced if he hadn't crashed his car into a building 10 blocks after hitting his victim?
