Montauk Route
I'm out in Long Island this weekend (Sagaponack) and was thinking I'd like to ride out to Montauk Point tomorrow morning (Saturday). I would prefer to avoid 27, due to traffic and the generally lousy driving I see. Does anyone have any suggestions of good, safe routes out that way?
Accident Liability Coverage

I wonder how a cyclist can cover his liability in case of an accident. One way as I understand is being a homeowner and thus covered by your home insurance. How auto insurance in such cases? Is auto insurance liability applicable to cover cycle accidents?
Any other options if the former two are off the table?
Renter's insurance also can have a personal liability component. I talked to my insurer (USAA) and asked about a nightmare scenario (somebody jumping in front of me when I'm cycling, then suing me) and that was her suggestion. It's not that expensive.
An example of exceedingly bad sports (Olympic track) reporting. By the Times, yet.

Oxymoron Ride - Easy, but Hilly - Sunday "C" Ride
Meet GCT Info Booth at 7:45AM for 8:07 to Noroton Hts. Pear Tree Point, Darien, New Caanan, Scots Corners. Up 'n down Trinity Pass, Mayapple, and Rock Rimmon to a picnic lunch in Long Ridge. Then Riverbank, June, Stanwich, maybe Taconic, Cognewaugh, etc. to a MN return from Greenwich.
It's hot and sticky, so the pace is slow, the water breaks frequent, and we should be under tree shade about 95% of the time.

NYC Century...Fixed Gear/Singel Speed
I have enjoyed this ride for the past few years, though I missed it last year. As a huge supproter of T.A. I love the ride that much more. I wanted to see if there was anyone out there that would like to join me on this ride in the Fixed Gear/Singel Speed world. I have not yet completed a full century on a Fixed Gear/Singel Speed and have set it as a new personal challenge. If there is interest I will make an offical ride post, actually I will do it anyways, but I wanted to test the waters. I was also thinking of doing a ride or two leading up to it with the same Fixed Gear/Singel Speed mindset to get used to riding together.
Volunteers for IM
We are hosting an aid station at Mile 20 of Ironman US Championships next week and we could really use a little help. If you or anyone on your clubs would be able/willing to help out ( even for an hour or two) it would be very much appreciated. The details are below, and thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
