Cycling in New Hampshire?

Submitted by dc366 on Thu, 10/01/2020 - 9:02pm

Does anyone have recommendations for cycling resources in NH, north of Concord? I'm looking for route suggestions, must-see destinations, cycling club names, anything to help plan a weekend of riding. We'll be based out of Warner, NH but can travel by car too.

Thanks!

New bicycle shop in Rockland

Drove the bike up to ride in Harriman Park yesterday, and on the return drive noticed this new shop on Willow Grove Rd. Years ago it was a deli, but it had been vacant for years. Seemed kind of out of the way for most riders.

Experience with Adventure Cycling?

I'm thinking of going on one of Adventure Cycling's shorter trips this time next year. I've been a member for years, but never gone on one of their tours. Have you toured with them? The one I'm looking at is 10 days, self-contained inn-to-inn (no camping).

PIPC cops gone crazy on River Road!

If you started in Alpine Sunday, you could ride 3/4 of the length of River road without being confronted by a barricade (which you could easily go around). If you started in Ft. Lee, that barricade is the first and only one you encountered.

Fellow Members,

After discussion, we decided that NYCC should not hold an official Fall Foliage series in 2020 for the following reasons:

He died in 1932 at age 53 and was buried in a pauper's  cemetery.  I recommend the book.
