For those curious about what it feels like to ride in the caribbean, Bicycling Magazine, is featuring an article by Bill Gifford on 'La Vuelta Puerto Rico 2010' ((MY BIKE WENT TO PUERTO RICO). The article is featured in the magazine's Januray/February 2011 issue . The event is mentioned on the cover, almost a full page counter cover and eight (8) FULL pages inside, it is a great read, Bill Gifford captured brilliantly the challenges and the emotions of riding in La Vuelta this past February.

Hi guys I am not sure if this is the place to sell this stuff but I know everyone here is close to me so I figure I would list it here.

I bought a Lemond RevMaster less then a year ago and I don't use it. I go to the gym so now it's just taking up space. I have a van and I am in Hackensack NJ and can help whoever buys it get it home if they need me to. But at this point it's just in storage.

New this week: coffee stop at the Bunbury in Piermont. This means 45 miles of essentially non-stop riding and a nice little hill after our break to warm us back up quickly for our short ride home. Last week's ride was one of the my favorites, but every week is different. What will this week be like?

The name says it all. If you've always wanted to try this legendary ride, this is your chance for an escort to the start to pepper with questions. We ride steady tempo up to the start in Yonkers, then do an excruciatingly slow "warm-up" for about 10 miles while our fingers and toes numb over, then the ride really begins, but it'll be over before you can blink (about 30 miles), then we either metro-north it home for a total of 60 miles or ride back home through some of most scenic sections of the bronx (not) for a total of 80 miles. Please be self-sufficient. No maps or cue sheets, so having some knowledge of lower westchester is helpful. Paceline and/or pack riding skills necessary.

We're currently four cars full of people for Sunday's point-to-point hike in the Harriman State Park area. One seat remains available. Departing at 8:30, expect to return--after a coffee and sweets stop at DePierros in Montvale--about 3:30-4:00. Interested? Without commenting one way or the other on the quality of the new message board, it is very interesting to look at the available stats.

While there are notably fewer postings and replies on the message board, the number of views has increased dramatically since the first postings on the new board and in some cases are in the thousands of views.
