2010 CAMPAGNOLO CHORUS 11-SPEED 12-29T cassette in as good as new condition
Used for only 150miles. Great for climbing.
Asking for $149 OBO.
Cheers!
2010 CAMPAGNOLO SCIROCCO G3 WHEELSET for sale
The Campy Scirocco alloy wheels (and tires) I have up for sale are as good as new!! I've used them for less than 150 miles. The Sciroccos weigh 1790g and are bullet-proof. The G3 design of the rear spokes is aesthetically distinctive as well as functionally rigid. I'm selling these wheels only because I upgraded to tubeless Campy Shamals.
Please note that I will also include the skewers and s-works slick tires. Asking for $299.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
CAMPAGNOLO CHORUS 11 SPEED CARBON CRANKSET 39/53t 172.5mm for sale
I'm selling a 2010 Campagnolo Chorus 11-speed Ultra Torque crankset. It's a thing of beauty -- more of an artistic sculpture than a mere bike component. I'm selling it because I replaced it with a compact size (34/50 teeth); this one has the 39/53t configuration.
I've hardly used it (less than 150 miles!), so it's as good as new. The carbon fiber arms are smooth and scratch-free. The teeth hardly show any use. It weighs meager 688g, and the bearings are as smooth as butter!
I'm asking for $249 (MSRP $600+!!). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Cycle for Survival
Hello
As your (ALMOST) new VP of Programming, here's a cool event forwarded by NYCC club member and fellow cycling pal Stacy Young:
Join Cycle For Survival, the indoor team cycling fundraiser that benefits lifesaving cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The ride against cancer will be held at one of the Equinox locations in New York City or Roslyn, Long Island on Saturday, February 12th and Sunday, February 13th. Get a group of friends together to be part of almost 400 teams supporting this cause. To learn more drop by JackRabbit Sports for this informational session:
Tuesday, December 14th@6:30-8:00pm - Union Square Store
The location of the store is 42 West 14th Street.
I'll try to attend that night and urge any of you to come by as well.
B ride to Nyack still on, start time moved to 9:00 AM
Hey all,
Ride is still on for 9 AM. I edited the ride listing which seems to have moved its status from "Approved" to "Submitted" again; until it's reapproved, you won't see it in the ride listings, but rest assured we're still on. Still meeting at Grant's Tomb.
Thanks!
Matt
Holiday Party Starting Time
Hal wants one and all to know that there is no tour of the Woolworth Building lobby this year even though it does say somewhere on Active.com that there is one. The one...and the only...starting time for the Holiday Party in 2010 is 6:30 p.m. inside the restaurant.
Ride listing - 3 Hills in 3 Hours, Saturday, December 11, 10 a.m., B16-ish, meet at Eleanor Statue
I'm repeating the ride info here because the ride didn't make it into this week's e-Bulletin.
This is not a technical ride, so strong C riders (and *MELLOW* A riders) are welcome too.
We'll take River Road, then come back down 9W and tackle Churchill and Walnut, regrouping after each climb. This ride is about fellowship and commiseration, not speed. The average speed for the day may be about 12-13. Your Leader is a B rider, but a SLOW climber (winter condition). Most of the time I'll be either warming up or recovering. So ... please be kind.
No lunch break; bring snacks and two water bottles. No cue sheet. Bring your own maps or directions if you like.
season's first
my water bottle froze this morning. nothing like this, though.
24 degrees, feels like 18. yikes. "not that bad." just frozen finger tips at the beginning and at end during my ride home. only 4 other cyclists in the park crazy enough to brave the cold.
just had to share about my frozen water. i thought i was funny (or sad).
hope to see everyone at the holiday party on saturday :-)
Saturday Nyack B ride - keep start time at 8:30 AM or push it back slightly to 9:00?
Hey all,
I have a request to move the start time for the Saturday B16-17 ride to Nyack back to 9:00 AM rather than 8:30 AM, in the interest of pushing the ride a half-hour further into the warm part of the day. Any strong feelings for or against?
Daytime high looks like it'll be 42 degrees F, partly cloudy, no precipitation. So, a little warmer than it has been. (Sunday will be warmer still but possibly rainy.)
Thanks!
Matt
I hate Active
Can't register 2 people for the party on one registration fee? That's petty. I'd rather pay at the door.
