Yesterday I crashed somewhat badly (I have seen worse) on the 3rd turn on the downhill on Tweed from Clausland.  Leader Rob Saken and Ralph helped me stabilize my position to avoid falling further into the ravine; Rob and one of the other riders called 911 for me and eventually I ended up in Nyack Hospital.  A few minutes ago I quite unexpectedly received a very nice floral arrangemnt wishing me a speedy recovery from the NYCC board of directors. 

Thanks for the thoughts! I will miss riding with the club for a few weeks (TBD, I haven't seen my doctors yet just ER) but hope sometime in September to be back on the road ...slower on downhill sharp turns. More braking....

CAMPAGNOLO CRANKSET 42 strada 170 (all components except the front gear derailer). It predates 1985. No fractures (discernable to the naked eye).  

I am looking for the most bike-friendly routes to the north shore of LI via the 59th street bridge.

I have looked at some of the Q sheets from the ride library but wondering which are the favorites for:

low traffic and simplicity

I'd like to get a GPS with 2 key features:

1. type in a destination and it gives you turn-by-turn directions

2. I can import cue sheet in. And when I missed a turn, it will auto-correct and find an alternative to get back on track
