Evolution is real. Take a look at electric bikes.

A few weeks ago I was riding down 2nd Avenue and came to a stop at the first traffic island crossing the 59th Street Bridge on ramp. I was the only person riding a pedal bike. 

A couple of days ago I walked down the island that has the uptown entrance to the 6 train at Astor Place. It appears to be a congregation site for delivery bikes for Grub Hub and its ilk. Not counting bikes, I suspect there were between 12 and 15; not one was a pedal bike.

All this before the real storm tonight.

It would be prudent to skip aka River Road this weekend. Or at least "heads-up" if it's open on Saturday.

First, the downside of the idea: There are plenty of needy and deserving people in NYC that we don't have to look beyond our area for those deserving of our consideration.
