COVID Restriction Update - 5/5/21
2021 Westchester Bicycle Sunday Dates
Crater on S. Highland Ave. descending into Nyack.
.
If you're doing Bradley, Tweed, or some variation of the Knot tomorrow and want to use S. Highland to drop down to Nyack. Be careful about half way down (150' from bottom?) before you get to the short light at 9W.
The "hole" is about 5' wide and tough to see in the midday sun. I only noticed the hazard when a vehicle swerved wildly around it. It could be trouble if someone hits it at speed on a bicycle.
Signing up for Multiple Rides on the Same Day
It is great others are stepping up to lead additional versions of rides this weekend. Please make sure that if then sign up for another ride, maybe a faster ride, that you take yourself off of the other rides, including the waitlists.
In general, please keep tabs on which rides you sign for. Once you actually get on a ride and are waitlisted others, please immediately remove yourself from the waitlist(s). Don't wait for the late night duplicate sign up email. It gives others the opportunity to others sooner. Thanks.
C Coaching Rides Postponed
We are postponing both of this week's C Coaching Rides from Saturday to Sunday due to the high wind forecast for Saturday. There are still a couple of open spots on each ride.
Instructions on Voice Navigation Using the RideWithGPS App For NYCC Members
Below is a link to a new instruction video I’ve made for our members. In the video I describe voice navigation for turn by turn directions using the RidewithGPS app, how to access all our club library routes on the app, and how you may want to listen to the voice directions clearly and safely.
TIRE INSTALLATION MADE EASY
Has anyone tried this tool? A bit pricey, but if it works, I might give it a try.

Berkshire Transportation
Are you interested in transportation options for the Berkshire weekend? Like you, I've signed up for the Berkshire weekend, booked my lodging, and I'm interested in finding a transportation option. We leave a month from today so I'd like to start the transportaion conversation and perhaps find some people to make the trip up & back.
Let's begin with what doesn't work. Riding my bicycle 125+ miles from my NYC home to the Berkshire hotel is NOT a realistic option for me. I would prefer an easier transportation option so I can bring some clothes, enjoying riding hard all weekend and fully enjoy the social weekend.
