Everyone-  please email me notices of rides outside of NYCC that our members might be interested in participating in, for the Out of Bounds calendar that is published on our website.  Please check the current listing to make sure that the ride isn't already posted.

Many thanks

Bike Fit Suggestions/Recos

Submitted by BJalan on Fri, 03/02/2012 - 4:59pm

Hi -

I am looking for a bike fit for my existing bike. Based on my research, I find two that come highly recommended - Signature and Peformance Labs (Mike Sherry). Signature runs around $375 and Mike is $199. Any recommendations based on your personal experience?

All suggestions welcome and appreciated!

Thanks.

Garmin 500, 705 or 800

Submitted by ggregory on Fri, 03/02/2012 - 4:35pm

Thinking of upgrading my double wireless cateye to a garmin gps unit but not sure what is best for the money and what I will mainly use it for. I mainly wanted it to help with turn by turn navigation on club rides so I would not need the cue sheet in addition to the normal features (speed, distance, cadence, etc.). Can club routes be uploaded to all or does the maps option solve this problem? Any thoughts or feedback on the garmin edge 500, 705 or 800.

New Web Site Provides Options in Case of Car Crash

Submitted by CWood on Thu, 03/01/2012 - 5:34pm

I hope that no one ever needs to use this site. But just in case, perhaps it should be added to the Web site resources.

Please forward this release, or the Web link, to anyone you know who might be interested, especially in public heath, social services, media, and of course those in need.

Thanks.
