did you guys know there will be dozens of racer-types going round and round grant's tomb on saturday at 9 am? of course there could be a break in the action when you meet, but that's unlikely. just an fyi alert.

A Manhattan bicyclist is suing the state Department of Motor Vehicles, arguing a bike-lane law doesn’t make a lot of street sense in New York City.

Evan Neumann, 31, claims cops cited him in the lower East Side last February for violating state law by leaving a bike lane to make a right turn.

“I was pretty shocked when the officer told me why I had been pulled over. I didn’t think I had done anything wrong,” Neumann said in an email to the Daily News Monday.

Neumann was ticketed when cops saw him pedaling out of the northbound bike lane on Allen St. in order to get to the other side of the road to make a right-hand turn on Stanton St.

Rescheduled the Return of morning river road to Wednesday. Tomorrow's temps are too low and the leaders are wimps. 

See you Wednesday, same bat time, same bat location. Re-listed ride should be up this evening.

The weather forecast is 26 degrees at 6:00 AM on March 6. That is too cold for me, so I am cancelling that ride. See you all on Thursday the 8th.
