C SIG classification is ON today.  Meet at the designated spot.

The NYCC SIGs were created by Christy Guzzetta and Jody Sayler sometime around the neolithic or bronze ages, I think more than 25 years ago. At that time the acronym SIG (Special Interest Group) was not nearly so common, so widely used as it is today. I think at the time it was pretty much confined to computer groups. Today there are SIGs all over the landscape, and maybe they still even connote computer something-or-other on first blush before another moment's thought corrects the first impression.

Anyone have any recommended rides starting downtown Philadelphia? 30-35 miles would be ideal.

will be spending a weekend there in a few weeks with the family and hoping to get out for a couple of hours in the mornings.

This just in from League of American Bicyclists.....a very important victory for safe cycling and walking routes on a community level.

The only reason this amendment to the transport bill was accepted was due to cyclists like us, here at NYCC, lobbying, emailing intensely for it.

I am currently in sunny Cape Town, South Africa on vacation and decided to ride in the Argus Cycle Tour http://www.cycletour.co.za/ on March 11.

Coming in from the cold and wet New York I have minimal training behind me with maybe 140 miles since January but most of my riding was in February.

I took my bike over on South African Airways in a Trico Iron Case at no extra cost and no weight penalty so I still had my 2 checked bags and it arrived in perfect condition.
