I am doing an article on bamboo bicycle makers - if you know a person who makes bamboo bikes or a bike shop that sells bamboo bikes, could  you let me know.  

I am cancelling tomorrow morning's Central Park laps for personal reasons: I am wiped out from today's ride and have an early morning client appointment. I have notified those who have signed up; this is for anyone who didn't sign up.

As of now (10:51 PM, 2/17) the ride is on. Please sign up on line before 8:30 so we don't have to try to write names and numbers with frozen fingers and balky ball-point pens. If you are signed up and decide not to come, please withdraw so we know how many to expect.

It's going to be a cold start, but one can bail at GWB if conditions are too harsh.

Does anyone have a reccomendation for a bike shipping case or have one to sell?

A friend of mine is getting into cycling and looking to buy a bike; he lives in Brooklyn Heights.  Can someone recommend a bike shop in that area (Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill/Boerum Hill area) and perhaps a contact person at the shop - my friend is pretty new to cycling and will need some assistance.  Thanks

Once again, the temperatures are not favorable.
The wind is suppose to be heavy as well.
