at BMCC Tribeca Performance Arts Center  . 199 Chambers St.

It looks like BMCC is Boro of Manhattan Comunity College ..

Have fun ..

River Road/Henry Hudson Drive and 9w toward Piermont

Submitted by mgeller1 on Thu, 02/20/2014 - 8:29pm

Was hoping to hear if it's passable on a road bike. Hoping to head out on Saturday after being stuck in doors since Feb 2nd.

Also is 9W clear?

The "Well Rounded" NYC Cyclist's CV

Submitted by HSchiffman on Thu, 02/20/2014 - 8:00pm

Call it a conceit or whatever you like, a recurring thought I've pondered pounding out miles on some long runs and rides is just this: what is the essential CV for the consummate NYC roadie? Yes, this can be parsed into C, B and A type rides. And you may break it down to these categories. But having the floor, I'm looking at what the limits of a fairly strong rider in his/her prime would consider.

Hudson River Greenway conditions

Submitted by mendelay on Thu, 02/20/2014 - 5:52pm

Conditions this morning from 59th and up were for skating, not for riding (even walking the bike was a challange). Saw a couple of people take a fall or two.  Below 59th was wet, but no ice.

Please reply with updates.

Downtown and LES

Submitted by CLam on Thu, 02/20/2014 - 12:17pm

.

What do the streets look like today (Thursday)?

I would like to ride downtown to meet friends and maybe pick up some groceries from Chinatown. I'm most interested in the east to west travel back to the Hudson greenway. The Prince street bike path is pretty hairy when the conditions are good. Are there big snow piles on the bike lane?

Maybe the NYCC could budget a drone (w/camera) for the future to check out area road/bridge conditions.

Thanks in advance.

B15 Morning laps in Central Park CANCELLED

Submitted by GRoss on Wed, 02/19/2014 - 8:32pm

It is 7:30 PM and no one has signed up for morning laps tomorrow morning. The ride is cancelled for lack of interest or perhaps epidemic levels of common sense.

Bicycle Production Worldometer

Submitted by Sir Roger on Wed, 02/19/2014 - 12:58pm

I just came accross this page and thought I would share it with everyone.

Its interesting to see how auto production has levelled a bit and bike production has continued to rise.
