Fold-up bikes: thoughts/advice
Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a fold-up bike - does anyone have any thoughts/recommendations? The Brompton and Tern have been recommended to me (....but the price tags are a little shocking!). I'd like to use it as both a 'run-around-the-city' bike AND for some sporty rides (...easy stuff: out to Nyack, nothing too fast or grueling but sporty enough that I might be able to keep up with the odd road bike and that I'd break a sweat/experience some speed). Any and all thoughts appreciated!

Casual B ride Friday in the Berks
B 18, Friday, 5/25 - Jody Sayler, Ed Fishkin, and Christy Guzzetta are riding to Stockbridge for lunch at the Red Lyon Inn. Please join us. About 40, 45 miles. We’ll be leaving from the Howden Farm (303 Rannapo Road, Sheffield) at 10:00 AM. We’ll be passing by the 1802 House, Stavleigh House, and Sheffield Inn shortly afterward. This is an “unofficial” ride; no sign ups, no cue sheets, no dropping, no problem. If you are in the Berks Friday and would like to join in on a relaxed happy ride to a cool place for lunch, come along. Let Christy know if you are coming so we know to look for you. So, did anyone do the 5BBC Montauk Century this year?
Curious to hear what people thought of their new routing and planning.
