NYC IRONMAN AUG 11 WILL INCLUDE CYCLING ON THE PIP
Any NYCC members in it???
The Gran Fondo was my extreme event for this year but I am interested in the Palisades Pky cycling. I haven't rode on it since a charity event in 70's.
Got a ticket today for turning left onto GWB from the hudson terace road
I went on a ride to piermont today and about 8 am and while coming back, 3 cyclists including me were stopped by a cop and we all got a ticket for turning left from hudson terrace road onto GWB :( ... We were all shocked because I always see every cyclist do the same thing.
Also, this cop was not in the usual cop car - :-D.. just be careful ...

Lunch in Nyack
OK gang it's like this.. I can't seem to get past The Market on 9W.. the food is so good..But tomorrow I want to go up to Rockland lake.. soooo anybody got some suggestions further up.. Not the Spoon though...
Lunch in Haverstraw?
Deli/sandwich shop recommendations? Pretty picnic sites, preferably on the water? I'm heading that way tomorrow, Saturday 23rd, and would love not to have to pedal around town hunting down lunch.
Thanks in advance!
May want to try something other than Runcible tomorrow
New ride leader vest - women's
Although my new ride leader incentive award vest is a "medium", it's a little "large" for me. Let me know if you have a small and want to swap.
Late B-ride listing for 6/24: Early Sunday Palisades
Join me for a morning's group ride to the Palisades Market for coffee via River Road. We'll come back along River Road as well to enjoy the fresh new pavement on Alpine and avoid the question of where to move left for the GWB. At nearly 3000 feet of elevation gain, there is plenty of climbing on this route. We will undoubtedly spread out some on climbs; where we do, we will regroup where it levels off. We will return back to the start by noon.
