All the weather sites agree - it's going to be wet at 6am tomorrow so I'm canceling.

 You know what kind of weather cancels. Well after this weekend, maybe not. I know I won't be riding in wet conditions - especially temps below 32!

I'm looking for an easy ride to the town of Montebello from NYC. Think Spook Rock Road or Haverstraw Road. I know I was on a ride years ago that went on Spook Rock Road but just don't remember the rides name.

Just asking. If you've seen this access point in person...

Specifically, I'm seeing a potential access point on Shepard Pl, one block north of McLean connected by Tibbetts Road. McLean goes over the Trailway, not directly into it. A map of access points doesn't include this one, but the bike lanes in the area flow right into the Trailway at Shepard Pl. One could conceivably get to this point following a well-used club route up to Bronx River Road, but going westbound on McLean/Nereid instead of north. 

This article doesn't speak of the rain and slick roads that followed the snow.

Freezing weather and snow forces modification to Milan-Sanremo, Turchino Pass to be dropped

i was saddened to see that the farm on 501 is closed - not just for the season, but it is closed permanently.  this was a destination for so many of my rides - 7 deadly sins gluttony ride, singles ride, birthday ride, donut ride.

jay, where are we going to get the most amazing homemade donuts now?  i just looked at my photo albums.  i have so many pictures of people enjoying the donuts.  so sad.
