Ritchey Breakaway
I'm considering purchasing this bike as I'm tired of traveling with my road bike and paying some of the crazy costs. Anyone have feedback on the ease of breaking it down and putting it together. And the quality of the ride of the steel version.
Late ride listing - Compressed C-SIG Redux
First of all, congrats to all the C-Sigges that graduated this past Tuesday at Annie Moore's. :)
I am looking to ride and familiarize myself with other routes in the Ride Library and have submitted a compressed schedule for C-SIG rides. Please find the "Compressed C-Sig Redux" series of rides on Saturday and Sunday in the near future once they have been approved.
Hope to see you there!
I wonder how often this happens in NYC on an average day

The comments are somewhat entertaining.

NY mag might've pulled the video, Streetsblog might still have it up.

It's two guys driving nearly identical cars fighting for a parking spot on the UES, with a Seinfeld-esque slap fight thrown in.
GWB construction starting in 2014
Can someone knowledgeable about the GWB construction to be started in 2014 talk about how bicycle (and pedestrian) crossings will be affected?
LOOPS AND LAPS ----- SIGN UP NOW

The Parks Department has a wonderful adult lap swim program in Central Park at the big pool by the Harlem Hill descent. 7-8:30 every morning. We're going to figure out how to do some nice A loops and follow it up with some laps in the pool. There is a reasonably secure place for us to lock bikes up, which we can put in place before the loops. You'll just need to bring a small lock to use one of the lockers to change.
NY Gran Fondo
Why does NYCC seem support the NJ but not the NY Gran Fondo. The former seems more advertised and promoted while the latter is not.
Friday Morning C Ride in Central Park is CANCELLED
Too damn wet! See you Monday.
Garmin 810 Help Needed
Marilyn decided a GPS device was just what I needed, so she gave me a Garmin 810 as a birthday present. Yeh.. just what I need... an ulcer. Some present!
I can create new routes; lead rides; show members how to fix flats; sometimes even fix a derailleur on the fly. But figure out how this device works.. uh, uh!!!
Help! I'm button challenged. Will some kind person donate 15 minutes to show me how this gadget works? Please...
Thanks in advance,
Ken
Dura-Ace 9000 C50 Clincher VS. Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLE Clincher
Considering to upgrade my bike with a new wheelset. Based on requirements I have currently two 2013 wheelsets in mind. Dura-Ace 9000 C50 Clincher VS. Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLE Clincher. Dura-Ace is somewhat $300 less. Both sets have pretty good reviews, although limited in numbers and scope since they were just recently released.
Any input and considerations are highly appreciated.
