BUILDING BIKE ROOM - LOOKING FOR WALL RACKS TO HANG BIKES
I am researching diff types of wall rack options for bike room in our building. Can anyone offer suggestions on what has worked in their building? We will have space for 17 racks/bike locking mechanism. I have looked at companies:
Wire Crafters: model Wall Riders
Premier Business Solutions: model Wall Rack
Found: Road I.D. (Christopher Rae Jacobs)
Found on Alpine yesterday morning (06/18). Please contact me if you know this rider. I'm happy to mail it to him.

CANCELLED - first half of the longest day of the year double half century ride
The first half of the ever so popular longest day of the year double half century ride has been CANCELLED. This traditional annual ever so very popular ride has attracted zero participants. As in none. Zippo. Zilch. Nobody. Not a single soul. I don't understand it !!
Do you bargain at Recycle-a-Bicycle?
In a phone conversation, Recycle-a-Bicycle quoted me a rather high price for a used bike. Let's not get into the details since I don't have any, not even the model year.
If we get down to the shop and like the bike, will they listen to a lower offer, or are their offers firm?
(Yes, I know they're a charitable institution, etc. etc.)
What do you do when waitlisted?
Just out of curiosity, what do most of you do when waitlisted? Do you make alternate plans, assuming you won't get on? Do you email the leader and ask to be allowed to come (and what response do you get to that?)? Do you decide to go do your own ride that day? Do you, *gasp*, n.o.t. r.i.d.e.???
Been in this situation a couple times, wondering what others do.

Thanks to Claire Mordas and Julie Blackburn - Bloodroot Cafe Ride
Thanks for a wonderful ride on Saturday. The route was great, especially when we got to the waterfront, the leaders were fabulous, and the group was fun to ride with. The feminist, vegan Bloodroot Cafe was definitely fun - not our ordinary deli stop for sure!!!
