The weather gods are against us this Saturday - snow/ice/frigid temperatures. So, we're postponing. We've automatically transferred everyone who was signed up for the January 25 rides over to the February 2 rides. If you cannot ride on February 2, please remove yourself from the listing as soon as possible to give someone else a chance.

Any insight as to conditions on 9W betw. Palisades and Piermont?
Snow/ice/debris make it unpassable?
Or OK enough for road bikes/skinny tires?

Nasty accident epilogue
Got the police report and my bike back from the Alpine PD. All the report said was that the accident took place "south of exit 14." The bike is in pretty good condition. The rear rim is the only obviuos thing that is trashed. (I haven't closely inspected the frame/fork for damage. I don't have the hand/arm strength to lift the bike.) The rear rim has a large dent (almost 2 inches long) on the drive side. It looks like someone took a vice-grip and squished in one side of the rim. If you stand behind the bike, you can see that the rear rim is twisted, not just out of true. The front wheel is fine, and the tires are still mounted on both rims. (Tubes still have air in them.)
