Looking for Room/Roommate or Recommendations for Berkshires Weekend
Change in my schedule has it made it possible for me to go to Berkshires - but don't know where exactly to stay?
Do you have a room and need roommate? Or are you also looking for roommate and a place to stay?
As I'm on my own - would like to stay in hotel/inn where other NYCCer's are staying--any suggestions? Going to be riding on B rides so think I would like to stay nearer to Shettfield-
Thanks for any help/suggestions-
Stacy

Late Start to Demarest is ON
Janice and I are optimistic that it will clear up and the roads will be dry by the time we head out for our ride.
However, given the iffy weather, we may have to be a little flexible and change the ride on the fly.
Looking forward to seeing you.

C SIG is on today!
Looks like the rain will hold off until late afternoon. Please be prepared - bring a rain jacket. Meet as planned for your group.
GWB southside open 5:30 Sat morning
according to a PA alert email this morning (Saturday)
Early and Easy to Piermont is on
Fenders if you have them, llight rain jacket a good idea. Extra tube if possible. Email ride leader if you plan to join so I know to look for you.
B SIG is ON for Saturday
Weather reports are a bit inconsistent, but the consensus seems to be that the overnight showers will be gone by 7 or so, then clear through late afternoon.
But be prepared for the possiblity of rain just in case. Rain jacket, front and rear flashers if you have them. Also, it might be windy.
See you in Woodlawn!

{B-STS} 4/26, Week 8 discussion thread (aka it might rain so what shall we do?)
The summary as of 5pm Friday:
* We have a reservation for a 7:47am train to White Plains
* It will probably be raining in White Plains when we arrive at 8:22am
* The rain is supposed to clear up by noon, but no one has any idea when, specifically (reports indicate: 9a, 9:30a, maybe 11a)
* When it does clear up, we're likely to have a window of acceptable riding weather (cloudy, wet roads) that will let us finish our scheduled ride on-time.

The gist: Southampton, a major town along the long-standing route, insisted on a 1,500 cyclist limit. For the entire day's travel. They claimed the reason for this limit was "safety".
Last year this "safe" limit, with no incidents, was 2,500 riders.
The year prior, I believe there were 3,300 total registrants.
