Route advice: Poughkeepsie area

Submitted by EJacobs on Tue, 04/29/2014 - 6:35pm

Dear all, I need to get to the Kingston area from the Poughkeepsie train station around rush hour on Friday.

What is 9W like on that stretch? Should I shoot north on 9W, or take smaller roads?

Google maps wants me to go five miles out of my way and swing west (the hilly direction, away from the Hudson) to take the Wallkill Valley Rail trail. I don't think so.

Any advice gratefully accepted,

-Erica

looking for a registration for the 5 Borough Bike Tour

Submitted by CGuzzetta on Tue, 04/29/2014 - 6:15pm

A friend wants to ride in the 5 Borough Bike Tour this weekend - too late, he says, registration is closed.  Perhaps you have an entry pass and can't go or know someone who has one and can't go and would like to sell it.  If so, please email me at the icon  above.

Thanks

Christy

Qazi's alleged intention in New York, apparently known to federal authorities, was "to obtain a job, and he was looking for a job in order to support himself and to be able to buy explosives so he could build an explosive." He needed money because his sole source of support, other than trading bikes on Craigslist, was his taxi driver brother.
