Thanks for a fun night. Absolutely loved the new venue. Beautiful location; I had to force myself to leave.
Of course, the cruel joke here is Time-Warner's own trucks block bike lanes.
ENY, won't you please consider making one of your donations to....

Subject Name: One Less Lane.
Text: Those of you with long memories, stretching back, oh, say two weeks, will notice the bike lane on Ft. Wahington leading to the GWB has been enfolded into a sharrow lane.
Training for Escape New York Century Ride
I am currently training for the century ride of Escape New York.
Understanding that it is a hilly century, I have been trying to increase the distance of my weekend long rides with good dose of hills.
However, I started to have some trouble with my knees. So I wonder if I did anything wrong with my training. And of course my fitting. And if it's necessary, can anyone recommend a physician / clinic specializing in cycling knee issues?
Many thanks!

Ticketing in the park this morning
As I crossed the park on the 72nd street transverse this morning at 9:15, there were 2 cyclists, no, sorry...one cyclist and a bicycle rider, getting tickets. The cyclist was in a kit and looked the part and the bicycle rider was a (helmetless) woman, with her kid in a seat on the back of her bike and her bag in the handlebar basket. They had just gone thru the light as they passed the entrance to the bandshell.
Ride safely.
NYC Century 50 mile option
I'm planning to do the NYC Century 50 mile option on Sunday, 7-Sep. and would like very much to get a group of people (4-6) together to ride as a group (B16/17). Anyone interested in joining me please reach out. Thanks.
Fred routing question
I was out "Fredding" today. ie taking a slow leasurely ride, My route took me up around Lake Tappan and various other bodies of water. A beautiful day. Slow Fred like long stop off at Piermont and back on the low roads.
My question is. Is there a less vertical way of getting back up to Hudson Terrace without having to do Walnut, which is where almost every ride over that way seems to return. I have no problem doing lots of hills when I am pushing it, but when I am out for a Fred I don't particularly want to finsh the ride leaving organ meats by the side of the road
