OK, OK: that's a terrible tease of a headline for this. Blame it on my shabby advertising background.

But, being partially left handed, I'll start with a postscript: It's not generally known the designation of Lifetime Member extended me had a condition attached to it: it is predicated on my cutting back the number of posts I put up on the MB. If I fail to reduce them, the designation may be rescinded. (Start counting: but, as in all things, don't look for my compliance.)

The weather gods don't seem to be cooperating so Sunday's pancake ride is cancelled.

Does anyone knop how to scroll back on the Club's Facebook Timeline to previous years -- you know, so that I can see the glorious photos of 2012 etc when I took the SIG and was in good shape?

Dang that uncooperative weather. 3 weather services show Sunday with consisent rain often heavy, plus snow forecast for up north along the Hudson and in the environs of the Hudson River Museum. I've cancelled the Peacock bike ride. 

Right off the bat: We've bumped the ride to Sunday, if you hadn't gotten a note about that. 

Sunday will be warmer, but the ride might still be called off because of potential rain. As a matter of fact, if the current forecast holds up... we'll attempt to schedule it next Saturday again. You'll get a note tomorrow if you're signed up for the ride; updates will also be posted here. 

Oh, that fickle January weather... at one point we were supposed to have two good riding days!

9AM temps in the high teens predicted. Though winds are listed as light the wind-chill will still be in the low teens and that is just too darn cold. Will try agian. sorry!

I've come to look forward to cycling in warm weather locales during the winter to kick start my season. This year I'm going to Girona Cycing, about 90 mins north of Barcelona, in the foothills of the Pyrenees. The camp is run by an ex-pat Brit couple and they cater to cyclists & triahletes from their base in the Mas Pelegri sports hotel.

995 euro gets you a full week of incomparble cycling, meals (wine included!), coaching, even a massage. After the camp, I plan to stay on a few days in beautiful Barcelona to soak up the Gaudi, Picasso, Dali, Miro, etc

The more the merrier . . . .  

I thought that NYC's speed limit dropped to 25 mph throughout the city, and so I reported to 311 that 30 mph speed limit signs on the Riverside Drive viaduct should be corrected. I was told that the limit is still 30 mph on Riverside Drive above W 104 Street. Just thought I'd share. 

Is anyone doing the vuelta next week?
