There is a "No Trespassing" sign.  I decided not to test it..

Joan and I attended a meeting in Nyack today where bridge officials indicated that there are two remaining alternatives which would feed bike traffic onto the Esposito Trail which connects to the unpaved trail in Upper Grandview and ends at the old Piermont RR station.The Nyack end of Esposito would be paved or cyclists could ride on local streets near the S. Nyack Police Dept. and ride down a few blocks to South Brodway and Piermont.  One of the alternatives involves cyclists carrying their bikes up and down stairs OR a switchback ramp.  The other alternate would not involve stairs or a ramp.  I told them that the stairless/rampless plan would be much preferred by cyclists.

I often read the message board. I find good info about road "stuff" here, fun things about our world of cycling, at times there's news about friends and fellow members. But I try and avoid posting serious content. We all know how messages get hijacked, twisted, turned into all kinds of nonsense, get all mucked up. But I'm thinking to myself, why allow you all the fun?

There are public hearings tonight (in Sleepy Hollow) and tomorrow night (in Nyack) to address the shared use path over the new Tappan Zee Bridge and, in particular, the access ramps on either side of the bridge.  I am unable to attend these meetings, which is why I submitted written comments.  The Nyack side is of particular concern.  Many residents of Grandview and South Nyack are vehemently opposed to having a path for bicycles and have found fault with any of the designs that are viable for cyclists.  At this point there are still two concepts for the Nyack approach being considered, only one of which is at all viable for cyclists.  

I bought my new bike at master Bikes last fall. I was very happy. Now A little story.

Even if the rain stops the roads will be wet; can't let the bike get dirty!
