Anyone riding BMC?
I have been looking at their bikes and wonder if anyone has any recommendations on where to buy?
R&A is the logical first choice, though I'm a little hesistant due to 1) price relative to many negative reviews I have read about them and their service (true?) and 2) proximity (I'm in Manhattan and likely moving north of the city within the next 18 months).
Does anyone have any experience with other BMC retailers in the area, or online? Appreciate any guidance.

Late listing for Slowcial lap ride Friday morning
Mart de Graaf and Christy Guzzetta are leading a Slowcial lap ride Friday morning. Start 6:00 AM from Tavern on the Green inside Central Park. This is a chatty social slow pace line ride; average for the 3 laps will be less than 17 mph, up Harlem Hill at no more than 11 mph. Fun, happy, easy going ride.
Hope to see you there.
Christy
NYCC Kit
I'd appreciate any feedback from members who have the jersey and shorts. How's the quality? Is the material stretchable, durable, good at wicking sweat? Is the chamois comfortable?
I'll true your wheels in exchange for your making a donation to Kids Ride Club.
If you're new to the club, you may not know Kids Ride Club. http://www.recycleabicycle.org/youth-programs/kids-ride-club-2015-0 Its great work is largely the creation and work of club member Dr. Ed Fishkin and is supported by the NYCC as a club and a number of our members as individuals.
I'll true your wheels if you make a (tax deductible) donation to the KRC. Front wheel: $10. Rear wheel: $18. Both wheels: $25.
Conditions: Cleanish wheels, please. Preferably, but not necessarily, with the tire(s) removed.
Location: E. 63rd St. @ Second Ave.
Times: Whenever I'm here which is pretty much always.

REWARD FOR Lost Garmin on Hudson Terrace Mar 9 around 4pm =(
Hello, I sadly lost my Garmin today (Mar. 9 around 4pm) going South towards the GWB on Hudson Terrace near the intersection of Sherwood Avenue. This is about 1.2 miles from Strictly Bicycles. A very generously reward if returned! (The Garmin is black and has writing on the back.)
Thanks, Vero
Desert Camp in Arizona
I just survived Pac Tour's Century Week Desert Camp in Arizona. Owners/Operators Lon & Susan always do a terrific job. The camps take place around the Tucson area. Anyone interested in getting a jump on the season by attending a camp in a warm weather locale would do well to consider Pac Tour. It's also an excellent value (Isn't $1245 for a week of cycling, breakfasts, lunches & lodging reasonable?) And there's always lotsa interesting folks on hand. For extra credit I stayed an extra day to climb Mt Lemmon, a real beast of a climb. Although not particularly steep (maybe 4 or 5% throughout?) it goes on forever, 25 miles straight up. I can't recall doing a longer climb. . . .
Berkshires lodging
In addition to the places listed in the announcement, another popular lodging is the Lantern House in Great Barrington. Google for the details. Clean and economical. There may be an NYCC discount. A simple breakfast is included.
TRAVEL BIKE CASE
I need to bring my bike to a cycling camp.
Is there a place to rent a travel bike box or bag in NYC?
Does NYCC have any travel cases for rent?
