Looking for an UWS Tandem Rider
Hi All!
My name is Sheena -- I'm a blind bike enthusiast looking for partners willing to do Tandem biking with me. I live on the UWS, but am game to go anywhere! Please email or call me anytime for us to figure something out.
Thanks!
Clove Platte Rd, aka Devil's Kitchen
I was unofficially requested to give my impression on ascending Devil’s Kitchen, officially known as Clove Platte Rd. There is a NYCC ride up it planned. Certainly others can bring more to the table, but I'm happy to share what I know. As a disclaimer, I’ve only done it perhaps 3 times; some racers do it multiple times in a single race. Perhaps I was asked because I am a veteran of Mt Washington, having a great day in the first Newton's Revenge. I believe I've done it every year since 2001, even getting in the practice ride the year it was canceled. I'm almost as old the the mountain itself.
Looking for a good bike shop in Manhattan for eTap tuning
Looking for a bike shop based in Manhattan that really knows how to setup eTap systems. I've got a slight issue with my front derailleur not shifting perfectly. Many of the bike shops I've encountered so far don't have a lot of experience or expertise with eTap and aren't very helpful. I've read online that it's a very precise setup so I'm looking for a bike shop that really knows what they're doing with this. Thanks a lot!
Berkshires weekend: Seeking one or two riders to share a zipcar from Manhattan
Greetings,
I have a zipcar reservation from 3 PM Friday the 26th through 3 PM Monday the 29th, in uptown Manhattan. It's a Jeep Renegade, which should hold up to three people and bikes (wheels off). I can get a rear rack too, just in case.
It's gonna run about $500, so I'd be happy to cost-share with one or two others.
Here's what you want to know about Andrew McCabe, the acting director of the FBI
"But Mr. McCabe, a triathlete known for biking 35 miles to work from Virginia...."

Q: Is that 35 miles one way or r/t? Times says "to." Maybe he loads his bike into a limo for the ride home. Still, all in all, impressive.

Club Meeting on Tuesday - B SIG Graduation - All are welcome!
Dear Members,
"No Rapha required — cycling doesn’t have a dress code"
C SIG is postponed until Sunday
The C SIG is postponed until Sunday due to a storm tomorrow of biblical proportions if the weather experts are to be believed. If we delay the start time on Sunday, you will be notified by email and/or the message board.
The rides on Sunday will start at the same location. We suggest you bring a rain jacket just in case.
Happy maintenance day!
B-STS Postponed 5/13 to 5/14
Planning to ride on Sunday which will hopefully be better than Saturday.
Be sure to watch your email Sunday morning in case it's less sunny than we hope.
Cycling in Maine: Recommendation?
I'm headed to Maine in July and will be riding the Maine Lobster Ride Century on July 23, but will be looking for other rides while I am up there.
I will have a car, and will be based out of Belfast. Thinking of heading to Bar Harbor and riding around Acadia / Mt. Desert Island, including climbing Cadillac Mountain
Any recommended / must do routes Down East?
