I need to borrow a trainer
Hi y'all,
I want to get my bike fitted and I need a trainer to look at my riding style and positions.
If you a are in Park Slope Brooklyn, would you be willing to lend your trainer for a couple of days for this process?
Thanks a bunch,
Dotan
Hit & Run (actually, hit & drive) S.O.B. mows down ex-Tour de France champion
Sonsofbitch drivers proliferate and expand their game internationally...and I do mean pro, as in former Tour champion: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/froome-hit-by-car-on-training-ride/
Want to meet folks from NYCC riding GFNY?
We could gather a Connelly's next Tuesday May 16 before the Bsig event. Maybe ride together?

Riding on Saturday(5/13) to either Bear Mountain or Harriman
I see the Bear Mountain classic is on Saturday and a co-worker mentioned there's a North Face challenge this weekend @ Bear. Does that mean both are closed to cyclists?
Cataract surgeon recommandation?
My regular ophthalmologist said my case is "more challenging" than the typical (very near sighted)
I'm not liking that kind of statement. Would like to get a second opinion.
One of those issues for older people. As cyclist, decent vision is quite valuable.
Perhaps someone have had good experience with a surgeon that you can share?

NYCC gear at LBS?
Are there any local bike shops selling NYCC jerseys?
Bicycling Magazine June issue has an important, detailed & interesting multipage special report on bike safety
I salute their new editor in chief Leah Flickinger for it. 41% of 4 times a week cyclists have been hit by cars; stats on harassment and aggresive behavior of drivers, drivers distracted by texting, 2016 cycling deaths: Boston 0, New York 18, L.A.22....FL is a "deadly state" for cyclists, etc.
Elewhere in this issue there is a interesting piece on the effectivenes of using lights (front & rear) by cyclists. I have started using them on some long distance daytime solo rides and the truck and car drivers seem to be giving me more room.
The C SIG is on for today (Saturday) as scheduled.
