2017 Award winners
Hi All,
Last night at the Holiday party – I wanted so much to recognize some special people, people who made 2017 so wonderful for all of us. But. . . . you all were having such a great time, I couldn’t get a word in edgewise. You’d think by now I’d know it’s impossible to interrupt our Club members’ fun. If I didn’t know it before, I certainly know it now. Promise, I’ll never do that again.
In an effort to supplant my clumsy efforts last night, let me tell you a little about the special people who received awards;
Herb Dershowitz; The Most Resilient Member, 2017

Bike Fitting Physical Therapist
I have a bit of M-Flex $$ that I need to spend, and I plan to see a physical therapist for some neck and shoulder issues. But, does anyone know of one in NYC that also does bike fitting?
Holiday Party-Thank You
Thank you to the almost 200 who attended and made this year's party so much fun.
LoHud West Bank Eatery Scuttlebut

Strictly Bicycle's "Cafe" is being expanded and cyclists may be able to quaff cold beers after a long ride on a hot day next summer on their outdoor patio, according to the owner.
Volunteer of the Year - a thank you note
To all of my dear friends in NYCC,
I am very appreciative, humbled and, frankly, thrilled to be voted Volunteer of the Year for 2017. In a club of interesting, intelligent and athletic people, which is made great by all of the volunteers who generously donate their time to make it so, this honor means the world to me. As a very active member since 2002, when I joined NYCC, with my dear wife Valli, this club has given me more than I can ever give to it. Although cycling with like-minded passionate cyclists is so much fun, the life-long friendships that I have made, and will continue to make, is what I most treasure.
