Colorado Cols Cycling Tour July 2011

Submitted by Wandringa on Tue, 05/17/2011 - 11:53pm

For those who are ready for long distance climbing, consider this cycling tour:

July 24 thru July 30, 2011

The Colorado Cols Road Tour is a vehicle supported, inn-to-inn, road cycling tour through the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado. Cyclists climb Colorado’s alpine cols (aka passes), sweep across wildflower studded meadows and descend into valleys each afternoon to relax in historic hotels while savoring gourmet dining.

Electric bikes are increasingly found zipping noiselessly along city streets. They are particularly popular among restaurant delivery workers.

There's just one thing: They're illegal.

First, send me an email at tomoboe [@] mindspring.com so I can add you to the list, then go to this link:

Questons on how to use message board

Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 05/16/2011 - 11:56pm

I haven't been on the bike, nor the message board in the winter. So I'm unfamiliar with the "new" software:

1) Why can't I edit my own post some of the time? (sometimes I see the edit button, but other times not. I'm talking about MY own posts)

2) Is there an option on the profile to turn off the e-mail notification on threads I posted on, blanket style? I know I can un-check the little box at the bottom of my post. But I have to do that for every thread I post. I would prefer to NOT receive ANY e-mail notification on ALL the threads I post on. It's quite annoying when I respond to a question for say, routes, only to receive upteen e-mail about other people who also suggested similar routes.

B16 Central Park laps at 5:45am - canceled for Tuesday, May 17

The weather for tomorrow morning looks bad.  Even if it's not actually raining at 5:45am, I think the roads will be wet.

I hope to see you Thursday.
