I used Bike Route Toaster to map the two "A" rides below for the Berkshires Weekend
If you have a Garmin, you can download the files to your device. Even if you don't, you can see the route on a map.
Lakeville-Lake gpx and tcx files can be downloaded here
Bash-Bish gpx and tcx files can be downloaded here
**Update** (both rides below start and end at the Weathervane)
West Stockbridge gpx and tcx files can be downloaded here
healthy 50-75 year-olds needed for Parkinson's research
A friend of mine from Columbia U. started a lab at CCNY. I don’t fall in that age range yet, but what better population than NYCC to find a few healthy active middle-age volunteers who are willing to contribute to scientific research.
You’ll earn a few bucks and get to spend a couple of hours with some lovely Italian ladies.
The following is forwarded from my friend’s colleague

Dear friends!!!
Sorry to steal couple of minutes of your time!
ticket on Riverside
Just got a ticket for going through a red light on Riverside. Pulled over by an unmarked cop car. What a way to start the day.
Just a warning, be careful out there!
I interrupt the disparagement of me for today's "Lance doped" article in the NYT

Is a Campmor trip worth it for a tent and sleeping bag?
I'm pretty sure I saw a ride to Campmor posted in the fall, and I also saw the cue sheet to Campmor. I'm looking for a sleeping bag and tent and I'm wondering if the trip is worth it, considering the offerings in manhattan such as REI and Paragon. Mind you, I've never been to any of these stores.
I'm sure I'd enjoy the ride to Campmor whether I bought anything or not.
Thanks!
Danny
Cat nip for Bike Geeks - Brooklyn Museum Filmfest Friday, May 27 @ 7pm
A non-cycling friend forwarded to me (I get this a lot lately, I wonder how I got the rep as the "weirdo" who cycles obsessively . . . ) this event at the Brooklyn Museum:
"Streetfilms is proud to present a selection of their latest and greatest transportation films. From the roadways of China and Copenhagen, to those of Oakland and Brooklyn . . . . " you get the picture.
I'd usually try to see something of this nature, but I'll be, humm, cycling in the Berks.

New to NYC, anyone have good routes to share?!
Hi,
I just moved to NYC and other than looping central park, I have no idea where to ride!
I'm more of a late day rider - so it's hard for me to join those 7am weekend rides. Does anyone have some solo-friendly routes to share? I'm getting back from a laaazy winter but have a centure tour around the cornor (Discover Hudson Valley ride) so anything from short 20 milers to epic century routes would all be helpful.
Also there are any C riders going out in the afternoon, I'd love to join.
I'll make it to a group ride to meet you all eventually! Until then, any suggestions on where to go would be great.
Talia
