A STS
Hats off to Gerald Seppey and Ron Roth for putting together a terrific series of spring rides - featuring some of the most adventurous, challenging, and beautiful rides I've enjoyed in my four seasons in the club.
More hats off to Terry Farrow and Rich Ramon for sticking it out today, and finishing the 100 mile Poughkeepsie-Westport route, in the rain and cold that descended on Litchfield and Fairfield Counties.
Berkshire baggage schleppers needed
I have received several requests from people who need schleppers to bring up their bags. I also have received requests for ride shares.
Please reply to this post if you can bring up a bag or two, or even do a ride share. It would be greatly appreciated.
See you in the Berkshires!
End-of-the-world letdown (resume Richard-bashing Sunday 9 a.m. sharp)
This poor sap waited for the Rapture all day and got bubkes:
How do I reach Sean from today's ClimBathon?
Reply off line, using the envelope icon (lower left).
Lending library: Bicycling & the Law
Bob Mionske's "Bicycling & the Law" (2007)
Every cyclist should read this book. I have an extra copy that I'd like to put into circulation amongst the NYCC.

"Death" of a "Ride Leader"
Okay, so no one died, but I am done "leading" rides! I put lead in quoatations since one is really not a ride leader if no one else is on the ride.
I posted about five rides so far this season, and not one person ever turned out. I have waited at the GWB, the statue, the info booth... I have submitted my rides, posted messages about the rides and bumped the messages to the top for maximum exposure, but the results were always the same.
Most were listed at an A21 pace, so I ask; is the club really geared towards C14 to A19 riders with A21 level riders organizing elsewhere? Any suggestions as to where to find A21 groups without joining a team?
Lance, Doping and 60 Minutes Revelations
For all those still holding onto the "Landis and Hamilton have no credability" mantra, chew on this one; George Hincapie has admitted to both his and Armstrong's doping! While I am a fan of Lance, I am also realistic. All the top guys cheated, that's why when one rider gets caught he believes he is innocent; innocent of doing anything the others are not also doing.
How to avoid the 5 most common bike-car collisions
Everyone be careful out there! Too many bike-car accidents lately.
What's a bazooka?
In the Road ID commercial, Bob Roll says all you need to take with you on a ride is "Helmet, shoes, bazooka and Road ID." What is he talking about?
DOT's Don't be a Jerk Campaign and red light tickets, etc.
HI everyone
I am doing a story about bike riding in the city (noticed a lot of people are still getting red light tickets.)
