Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLR vs SR
I am reaching out to the NYCC community for advice
I just purchased from Ebay a set of Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLR Wheelset which comes with tire and tubeset (clinchers shimano). Believe it or not the seller listed it as an SR version and its actually the SLR version. If you go to the Mavic Website the Wheelset appears to be exactly the same except for the tires. It also appears that the SR version is a 2011 set while the SLR is 2010.
Are you confused yet?
The Wheels and Tires appear to be in excellent shape as they were sold as new with less than 100 miles on them. I believe it based on the appearance

Train notes from my DIY Montauk century run from last weekend
I did a do-it-yourself run out to Montauk on Saturday -- I last did this a couple of years ago -- and figured I'd pass along a few tidbits of information gleaned along the way:
* I was prepared to take the Hampton Jitney back -- when I last did this, the middle third of the ride back was marred by hordes of drunken yahoos coming from the Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays invading the train -- but it was a Saturday, and we were safe from this particular hazard. Traffic on Montauk Highway westbound was congested in the village centers anyway.
