Holiday Party
Piermont Bike Shop 20% discount holiday ride - - later start, now 9:30AM 12/12
I've gotten accord with presently registered riders, and we're sliding the start back to 9:30AM, same GBW terminal location.
The change will be edited into the ride posting, as well.
So come enjoy the 20% off the bike shop is treating us with!

Spectator who caused a catastrophic crash in the Tour gets less than a slap on the wrist.

Forget the massive amount of injury and pain caused, forget the dashed hopes and year long planning: just think about and add up the actual costs: medical-, event-, and bike-related. This fine is hardly a disincentive for irresponsible spectators to act like the jerks they are.

East Side Coastal Resiliency (ESCR) East River Park Greenway Closure
Starting Monday December 6, 2021, construction operations in East River Park will require the closure of the East River Greenway from Montgomery Street north to E10th Street. A bicycle detour is in place from Pike Street north to Allen Street, to 1st and 2nd Avenues, 24 hours/7 days. To access the Corlears Hook Ferry terminal, bicyclists should use Corlears Hook Bridge.
Stolen delivery bike: any action to take?
One of my favorite students (ha ha they're all my favorites) had his ebike stolen this weekend - cut u-lock during the 2 minutes it took him to deliver someone's food to their door. He did not report it to the police - he says the police are historically not helpful.
Is there any chance that anyone here knows of any organization it *would* be worth reporting this to - or if it's worth reporting to the police after a 3 day delay (he just told me today that it happened on Friday).
I know it's a long shot, since we're mostly leisure riders, but maybe someone is involved.

Any opinions?
A memorable line.(No, not a paceline.)
NBC's "Dateline" Friday night (12/3) was about the murder of Maurizio Gucci, arranged by his money grubbing ex-wife, Patrizia.
Routing from GWB to Montclair State University (round trip)
Looking for a low traffic route from GWB to Montclair State University and back. Any ideas and help would be appreciated.
