The new e-Weekly Newsletter...
It may be that I'm sorta new to the club that I received today only my second, maybe third, what is said to be, weekly (or, in my case, weakly) newsletter. Chapeau to the editor (Sheila), webmaster (Natan), or both! It's really well done, which is to say comprehensive, informative, and well designed so as to be easily read.
Palisades Park - Henry Hudson Drive Road Conditions
Has anyone recently ridden the length of Henry Hudson Drive (River Road) from Ft Lee to Alpine? How are the conditions. I haven't been out to the park since somepoint last summer. Thinking of venturing over on Friday or Saturday.
Thanks

Northern Passaic County/Wanaque route question - CR 511 versus alternatives
Hi all,
I did an (overall awesome) ride yesterday which connected up to Sloatsburg using a bit of a "back" route; I went through Oakland NJ into Wanaque first, then north to the state line from there using county route 511 (Ringwood Road/Greenwood Lake turnpike) for a while.
Total Knee Replacement
I've been told I am a candidate for total knee replacement, both knees, though I only plan on doing one at a time. Has anyone had this done, and how long before being able to get back on their bike. I know stationary bikes are used as part of the PT. Oddly enough riding the bike now isn't painful. Skiing this winter was rough, as are stairs and carrying home large bags of groceries.
Uptown street milling
FYI - Ft Washington and Haven Aves (~170th to the bridge) and the side streets are milled or due to be milled this week. Repaving is not yet on the schedule.

Mourning the loss of a dear friend
Our dear friend, Christy Guzzetta, passed away on Sunday morning.
Christy was a beloved member of the NYCC community for more than 40 years. One of the club’s first Lifetime Members, his many contributions to the club included founding the A-SIG training program in 1986 and serving as the club’s president in both 1988-1990 and 2016-2018.
Inquiry - Liberty Park to Liberty Bell.
I am looking for guidance on where to stay in NYC to be able to make the start of the Ride got the East Ciast Greenway fund raiser - NYC - Philadelphia in May.
also wondering if anyone from the club is also making the ride?
bike rack recommendations, please
All: I am in search of a bike rack for the entrance hallway in my apartment. It needs to be able to accommodate two bikes, minimize the space it takes up in the hallway, and be relatively easy for a person of decent strength to be able to lift the bikes in and out without too much struggle and with minimal risk of it scuffing up the adjacent, freshly-painted wall. :-)
Any recommendations to share, please? Extra credit for links to where I can view them online.
Thanks in advance for your help!

NYC Newbie
I've been riding in Bergen/Rockland counties for almost 20 years, and recently moved to NYC. I've done a few trips to Central Park from our 1st Ave apartment, and getting to the park is quite dicey. Between cars, irregular pavement, and especially delivery bike and ebike riders who appear to have little regard for traffic regs; getting to a safer haven isn't, as they say, "a walk in the park".
Curious for any tips...
