How steep is Palisades Park climb to Alpine

Submitted by DduCille on Mon, 04/04/2011 - 9:55am

Hey guys, been doing some searching and can't seem to find this info and this site still runs pretty slow.  I'm pretty sure I found this info in here several months back but I'm not sure.  I'm contemplating doing Gran Fondo NY and I'm trying to get a feel for what to expect on some of the climbs.  I've never been to BEar Mtn  but i've ridden palisades park up to the Alpine Police station.  Does anyone have the grade and length of that climb so I can reference against that?

Thanks

A female cyclist was arrested around 6:00pm today after allegedly running a red light.  As a disclaimer, I arrived as she was being arrested so what I describe below is mostly what learned from other people.
