Looking to buy a saddle, need your help
I've been hearing a lot of good things about these "real man" saddles. If anyone has one I'd like to know your take on it, what you like and dislike about it, and so forth. How expensive are they? If you have an under-saddle tool bag, is there any extra abrasion from using this saddle? Also I'd like to know if there's a companion set of matching handlebar tape.

Just for fun, check out Speer Ave., Englewood, NJ, on Google Earth.
You'll get a little surprise. It was new to me.
Community Board 7 Parks and Transportation Meeting
The good news is that the committee wants to help restore recreational cycling in the Park. The committee and community members at the meeting were supportive of restoring cycling in the park. There were no rabid anti-cyclists present.
The board however brought up serious problems with implementing yellow lights.
Last Night's Benefit for Kids Ride Club
It was a sellout crowd for the Kids Ride Club benefit last night.
Many thanks to neighbors who helped make this happen.....

Thanks also to the kids for spending the evening with us!
Hope it was fun for everyone.

'If you’re Ray Kelly, police commissioner of New York City, the answer is clear: You obsess over minor violations by cyclists while ignoring virtually all other traffic violations in the city.'
IMAGINE YOU’RE THE POLICE COMMISSIONER of a large American city.
You’re charged with enforcing the laws, fighting crime, keeping public order, and protecting the public’s safety.

Route to Copake, NY
In a few weeks I will be riding up to Copake, NY from NYC. Can anyone suggest a good route, sharing the road with as few cars as possible?
I am not averse to taking a train to get out of the metro area.
Thanks in advance,
Jim
