A few more B-SIG Photos
Thanks to all the B-SIG riders -- especially the outstanding Whiskey group! -- for such a great time this season. Now start thinking about leading your own rides for the rest of the season!
Meanwhile, here are a few more photos, from Cold Spring and Deep Westchester.
Progress on Trailways: Mile Square section
Work was in progress today on the grade behind the strip mall at Tuckahoe Rd. A retaining wall has been constructed to contain the path above the parking lot. Numerous, fresh piles of soil are evident beyond the fence where the trail ends just north of the Tuckahoe Rd underpass.
Some sections of the Trailways have not fared well through the years. In places, asphalt has been placed over railroad ties. The result is a wavy surface with cracks. Ideally, these should be deconstructed and rebuilt. The commission working on paving the Van Cortlandt Park section understands the need to remove everything and install drainage sublayers.
Funding might become an issue to achieve a consistent surface that can be taken the whole length of the path at a higher rate of travel.
Is there any way to contact members, to get to their membership info and see if there's an email or phone?
Wanted to contact another member whom I met on a recent ride. Any way to do this?
Thanks! Jim

B SIG Cold Spring ride on 5/7 - We will ride unless the weather is awful
Hi everyone,
Tomorrow's Cold Spring ride returns to the city on Metro North. Because of Metro North restrictions, we cannot reschedule the ride for Sunday if it rains tomorrow. Since that's the case, we will ride tomorrow unless the weather is really bad in the morning. Forecasts are a little sketchy right now, but it looks like it will not be an all-out rainy day.
I'll post any change to this plan by 6:00 tomorrow morning.
Wayne, one last time for the B SIG Leader Team
New B ride for Sunday 5/8: White Bakery
This Sunday, I'm leading a fast B ride to White Plains. Back in Manhattan shortly after 12 PM. 8 AM from Eleanor Roosevelt statue. It's a nice route on greenways and back roads through Westchester. Route and other information available at my blog entry for this ride. It is listed as B-18 for 51 miles. The plan is to ride fast to White Plains, stop for coffee and pastries then ride fast back to Manhattan in time to have Mother's Day luncheon with Mom.

Questions
Two unrelated questions. First, over the past couple of weeks I have not observed a great deal of police presence on the cp drive in the mornings after 8AM. I'm interested in hearing what other people have observed outside of the 6-8AM window.
Second, when I exit the greenway at 181 to access the gwb it seems that I need to go against traffic on two streets to get to a southbound street. Is there a way to circle around in the direction of traffic to myself pointed in the right direction?
