Travelers Insurance Representative?
Submitted by tompatodonnell on Thu, 09/16/2021 - 10:51am
In Steve Vacarro's extremely informative presentation at the last club meeting I believe he mentioned that one of the Club members sells Travelers bike insurance. I did not catch the member's name as it was a bit hard to hear. Did anyone hear it?

South County Trail condition between Hartsdale and Elmsford
Submitted by mhsimkin on Sun, 09/12/2021 - 3:13pm
I rode the South County trail this morning to/from Elmsford on my road bike with 25c tires. However, I didn’t quite make it to Elmsford. There are two issues:
1) There is approximately 1 mile that is dirt. This starts just after the wood planked bridge by the Great Hunger Memorial. It has not really rained for the last few days, so the dirt was rideable, just slowly. I expect that this section will be paved at some point between now and November. I don’t know when. I don’t know if they are waiting for a nice long stretch of dry weather to let the remaining mud dry before being paved or if they are still working on fixes.
Caution on the bottom of Clausland Mountain Road

Gravel spread on the bottom of Clausland Mountain Road for approximately 1/2 mile by the local DPW, if you are climbing, it is annoying, if you are descending, it is dangerous.
