Bike fitting and repair in or near New Paltz
Any recommendations for both bike repair and bike fitting in or near New Paltz? Thanks!
Cycling, Caffeine, and Pancreatitis
I'm not using this board as a substitute for seeking medical care - I've already been probed at length inside and out by several doctors. I'm just looking for some additional information from people who might have more practical experience on the subject than the docs I've been seeing.
FYI: Rockland Bicycle Club "Invitational" Rides this Saturday
From my Inbox:
======================
Hello,
Reminder: The Rockland Bicycling Club is inviting you to the first ever RBC Invitational on Saturday, July 24.
Thank you for spreading the word to your club members.
Anyone can ride at the Invitational for free. We do prefer that riders sign up and pay the small fee, so you can enjoy the picnic lunch with us after the ride at the Kennedy-Dells Park pavilion. We are not looking to raise funds with it; just hopefully break even.
Complete information (including routes) below.

I was looking into Apple Air Tags for my next trip and an idea struck me. Why not put and Apple Air Tag in my bag on my bike. If it gets stolen it can be traceed. what do you think?

Working together with NYCC for Safe Cycling in Piermont, NY
I am writing as the Co-Chair of the Piermont, NY Traffic Committee (along with Police Chief James Hurley) and as an avid cyclist, to share with your club members how Piermont is working to help cyclists remain safe….and what we ask of cyclists to be respectful and follow the traffic laws. As you know, Piermont attracts thousands of cyclists every week during the peak cycling months which puts stress on safe passage along our popular, but narrow, streets. Some are ruining the situation by riding 2-3 abreast, not obeying traffic laws, and being rude.
Rides
Now that the weather is nice, it seems more people want to join a club ride. That's fantastic, but be mindful that some rides have a limit for different reasons. If you are on the waitlist or have not sign up for the ride, please don't show up and expect the leaders to let you ride with the group. If you are on the waitlist or haven't sign up for the ride, why not post a ride and allow the others to join you. And please don't give the leaders a hard time, because they won't let you ride.
