Routes to/from Rockland Lake Park without a lot of 9W?
Hi all -- I'm planning a ride to Rockland Lake and am looking for a route that avoids a lot of time on 9W. Can anyone point me to existing club cue sheets that fit the bill or otherwise suggest a good route? Hills are fine, but I'd like to avoid River Road, since I think it'll be closed for paving over the next few weeks. Thanks for any suggestions! -Nicki
Ride & Row - "A" Ride on Saturday June 9 - it's not gone...
I modified the listing for the A version of the ride, so it doesn't show up in the ride listings until it gets re-approved. If you've already joined - don't worry it's still on!
We have at least one seat open for Saturday, so email me if you're interested. (You can sign up in the A or B -- everyone meets at 8:30am at the Statue of Civic Virtue in Queens and we'll organize into the two groups out there.)

Inputting Cycling Route onto Google Maps/Garmin
Hello,
I will be cycling from Seattle, Washington to Miami, Florida next summer and need to input the entire cycling route onto Google Maps and/or Garmin and thereafter upload same onto my website. Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing or can point me in the right direction to someone who does? If so, please email me at the below address. Many thanks!

Looking for a recommendation for a European Bicycle Vacation Tour company
Looking to go to Europe for a bicycle vacation with A-level cyclists. If anyone knows of a good tour operator that arranges tours in France or Switzerland or perhaps, Italy and Germany, a recommendation would be greatly appreciated!
'Citizen Cyclist' article in The Atlantic
Article written by Sarah Goodyear:

It's about Bike Share (Citi Bike) and our responsibilities as cyclists following rules of traffic, that we should comply.
PS There's a comment section with one response written by one of our own NYCC brethren.
Ms. Goodyear has written other related articles (e.g. cities, tourists, bike share, women in cycling, etc.) of note: http://www.theatlanticcities.com/authors/sarah-goodyear/

Re-pavement of the climb to police station on River Road has started
Re-pavement of the climb to police station on River Road has started. It was still open to cyclists this morning but the surface is ripped-up and there was a crew working.
tickets in Prospect Park
I haven't seen anybody getting tickets in the park for awhile now. Have they eased up, also the new center bike lane is great.
