2012 Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL vs. R-Sys Clincher Wheelset
Considering between two clincher wheelsets:
2012 Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL vs. R-Sys Clincher Wheelset.
SL a bit heavier and thus slightly behind R-Sys on steep climbs. Whereas extremely well on flats, downhill and said to be excellent on turns and on breaking power.
Anybody can reflect from their own experience describing pro & cons of the above wheelsets?
EDIT *** Croton-Harmon to Croton Falls CANCELLED
This went live on Tuesday night, but that's certainly well after the weekly e-mail goes out. ;-)
The route actually starts in Tarrytown, and winds around a bit, so total distance to Croton Falls is about 45 miles. Some version will go rain or shine, barring really horrible rain, though moderate rain will prompt a shorter version of the route.
This also goes over the Croton Dam, but in the early going, likely earlier than the A-19 riders hit it.

Also, if numbers are low, I may ask the group about whether it'd be convenient to meet up at 125th Street Metro-North instead; just be advised.
Late C Ride posting
We just submitted a C ride to Old Tappan, lunch at the Market and return home either by 9W or County Road. Look for the listing after it is approved.

Late Ride Posting: A19 ride this Sat 9/29 to Croton Dam
Join us for a redux of the A19 SIG Ride 11, only we'll be starting and ending in the Bronx to eliminate the junk miles.
The route will take us through Scarsdale, White Plains, along Kensico Lake, up and over Whippoorwill, Mt Kisco, across the Croton Dam, then back down through Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, and ending in the Bronx.
The start will be at the Woodlawn station of the 4 train (http://goo.gl/maps/Gawcg).

My traffic ticket yesterday on bike
I ride less than I used to on city streets and avenues, perferring bike paths, hard pack and off road trails. But yesterday, a weekday, I took 6th Avenue to Penn Station around 7:30 am to catch a train to cycle the Delaware canal tow paths north of Trenton. I just got through 23rd Street as the light was changing but ran 24th. As I approached the intersection I could see a pedestrian jaywalking across on the up traffic side of the intersection, a very good indication the coast was clear. In a moment I could see it was clear, and I was not impinging upon foot traffic. 6th goes up a mild grade here and preservation of momentum is dear to my heart either running or on a bike. In the bike lane the whole way, I was pulled over by a policeman in a Cushman.
B16 Morning Laps ride is cancelled due to rain
It's raining at 5:35 AM; the ride is cancelled
