Question --upgrading my wheelset
Been riding on Mavic Ksyrium SL for 5 years now and thinking about upgrading my wheelset
Most the guys I ride with have deep-dish wheelsets and they all swear the results are great on group rides. The only problem is everyone has a different opinions on brands.
I see tons of options for example Reynolds, Mavic, Easton around $1200; Zipps over $2000 (404); Local guys selling their brand SP for a grand; and a few other brands
Obviously you get what you pay for, but the market seems very disjointed.
Has anyone done research lately or have any pointers on how to approach choosing from all the different options. Are there any good articles that are non-bias.
Thanks

What they're riding in the Tour de France.
Just found this while browsing around. Interesting to note the complete absence of disk brakes, (I thought there were some last year), electronic shifitng is not universal and the Campy groups are not all Super Record.

C-level NYC to Garrison or Cold Spring
Hi all!
Saw a post from several years ago, ask this same question: "I'm looking for an easy route to Garrison from the city. Any suggestions? I need something that a C-level rider could do."
From what I understand, the Bear Mt area is a bit advanced. But also, I'm not interested in the Garrison to NYC route (I'm actually doing this to get a ride in on my way to family BBQ in Garrison.) Cold Spring is also an option, as that's fairly close to where I'm going too.
Is it possible to get there for a C-rider going solo? I've done Piermont before, and I think I can handle the one way millage from the upper Manhattan area. Maybe there is a way to safely ride going through Westchester area, avoiding Bear Mountain?
A special thanks for the Climbathon!
I wanted to send out a quick "Thank you" to Richard Rosenthal for leading the Climbathon ride on Sunday. The hills were tough, the route was perfect and your leadership was and is appreciated. I also tip my helmet to my fellow climbers who ground up each of the difficult hills along side me.
Well done to all, with a special kudos to Richard's leadership!

Brooklyn After-Work Ride?
Hi, I'm new to the club (great Newcomers Ride today...thanks everyone!). Is anyone interested in riding around Prospect Park Wednesday around 6:30PM?
Thanks,
David
Thanks!!
Thanks to Brian Van Nieuwenhoven for organizing a terrific Newcomers Ride. Despite a brief morning shower, all went well.
