Hey Folks,

As promised a few months ago, we're pleased to introduce Badging capabilities to better recognize the accomplishments and contributions of our members. We're starting small with recognizing the 2014 SIG Graduates. Over the next few weeks we'll be adding 2011, 2012, and 2013 Graduates as well as SIG Leaders for those years.

Assuming all goes well (when does that ever happen??) we'll look to add other badges (100+ Ride Leader, Past Board Member, Best Dressed Cyclist, Bianchi Lovers, etc...) Ok, the last 2 probably won't happen for a while

My NYCC ride was cancelled, but I rode anyway since I woke up early and had fenders and rain jacket. I was feeling smug about riding in the rain, which lasted only about 45 minutes, but I had my comeuppance on the Greenway north of 100th when a car going in the opposite direction on the adjacent parkway intersected with a flooded section of road. I had already taken off my rain jacket by that point - the approaching tidal wave high above me was a beautiful sight, until gravity kicked in. At least I had the rest of the ride to dry off, and the Runcible racks to myself!
