Visiting NY 18 - 22 Aug from Sydney Australia
Hi
Reub Hayes is my name. I am a keen road cyclist and would like to do a few rides when I visit NY in August. I'm staying at Sherry Netherlands beside Central Park and have arranged a training bike 19-22 Aug. I ride 200+kms (130miles) per week. I'm around B17/18+ on club scale. Are there any rides in the vicinity I can join over this period?
Cheers Reub

Garmin 1000 and Shimano Di2 now communicate
With the addition of the Shimano D-Fly, you can now see the *gear selection you're using, the battery life remaining on the Di2 and a few other things, all in the windows of the Garmin 1000. The way to see Di2 battery life remaining currently, is to hold the shift lever and view the solid or flashing colored lights on the junction box. I found this to be less than accurate and can now charge the Di2 battery only when absolutely necessary. The fewer times you charge the battery, the longer it lasts. The Garmin shows battery life remaining in the Di2 by percentages of 100 in 10% increments. I was told that the D-fly does NOT work on the 1st generation Di2.
D-fly costs about $110 and takes maybe 30 minutes to install.
