Easy Peezy Ride Series Starting Mid March
Hi Folks,
Mary Montgomery and I, Joe Irizarry, are bringing back our informal Easy Peezy rides starting on Saturday March 21st. We're going to start off nice and slow with a ride or two in Brooklyn then head out to our usual destinations in Rockland County. The first few rides will be in the 20-30 mile range then we'll progress towards 80 miles or so by May.
- The requirements for these rides are that your bikes be in good working condition.
- That you do not bust the pace.
- That you know how to ride in a group. Paceline skills are not necessary but they will come in handy as we progress to longer and faster rides.

April club meeting - Acoustic Music Night - who wants to play?
Hi everyone,
Some of you know me and some of you don't, so a short intro: This will be my 3rd year of riding in the club, usually at B16 level. But that's not what I'm posting about - I'm posting about our April 7 acoustic music night for the club meeting. When Neile and Sam approached me about playing music director for this event, I thought it sounded like a ton of fun. I've been playing guitar and singing in the NY music scene for about 25 years, and have played pretty much all styles professionally - jazz, rock, soul, latin, country, blues, folk and all the in-between styles too. My parents were 60s folkies and it kinda grew from there.
For you Mallorca riders
The Photo-of-the-Week on our Website pictures NYCCers in Mallorca wearing Mallorca-themed jerseys Harv Bedi gifted them. The following link is to an article and photos shot in Mallorca that is nothing other than a bike apparel business promo with a thin veneer of being something more than that. He didn't say so, but is there any chance whatsoever the writer was not "comped"? This ain't journalism; it's PR passing as journalism. But you who've ridden there may enjoy seeing it. ...Or not.

Seeking a few good RideWithGPS Gurus
In an effort to modernize our ride library, we are looking to clean up many of the older style cue sheets and standardize on the current defacto standard. We also want to include an accurate and clean route mapped on RideWithGPS.
With hundreds of cue sheets in our library, we can't do this without the help of 5-10 Cue Sheet Gurus who are very familiar with RideWithGPS. We expect the task to take approximately 20-30 hours per volunteer over the next few months. This can be done at your leisure. Required Skills include:
1) Ability to convert a legacy cue sheet to a RidewithGPS route
2) Ability to manhandle RideWithGPS when it attempts to outsmart you and pick a different route

Submitting/Joining Rides UX
Hi All!
I wanted to solicit the expert feedback of the community here.
I am working on a side project to connect people with partners for outdoor activities called Sesh. One of those activities is (you guessed it) cycling!!
For those intrepid souls, i invite you to take a look (http://seshitup.com) and perhaps do some A/B testing vs the NYCC ride system. Id love to hear what you like and dislike about both.
For those interested in comparing, I'm hosting a Nyack ride this Sun @8a
