The C SIG is postponed to Sunday, April 10 with a new start time of 10 a.m. You'll be meeting at the same starting point as you were on Saturday.

It's going to be cold on Sunday morning so dress accordingly (layers, booties, warm gloves, etc).

Be advised there is a race in the Park starting earlier so there might be a number of runners present after the race.

The B SIG ride for Saturday April 9 is postponed to Sunday, April 10.  

Due to a race in Central Park on Sunday, the B 16s and B17s will meet at the playground just north of Grant's Tomb, at 124th and Riverside. Start time is 9 AM.  For the 18s, please await word from your leaders about where and when to meet.  

See you Sunday. 

Beware the intersection heading north on 9W just before reaching stateline.  At this point cyclists are going very fast as they reach the bottom of the "valley" before heading back up toward the observatory and the beginning of stateline hill.  (this is often a sprint point.)

There is a light at the bottom of the dip where cars coming off the palisades parkway turn on to 9W.  There used to be two lanes for cars to make the left onto 9W.  Now there is only one and no shoulder!  The interior second lane has been newly blocked out with yellow paint!

the good news: the trail extension to the rear of the Blauvelt Library on Western Highway will be completed in June.  the bad news:due to the current replacement work on the Orangeburg Road overpass (very evident in the area!)which crosses (?) over the trail, parts or all of the extension cannot not be accessed for 2 years for safety reasons.  In  the meantime cyclists leaving the trail will have to continue to cross a poorly maintained, active  and dangerous railroad crossing to get to Western Highway and  also cross  heavily trafficked Orangeburg Road to go north towards West Nyack, Clausland or Bradley..
