I wrote a few of those on my ride tomorrow. This is what I sent. It's not what I wrote. It's what that friggin' auto-speller re-wrote.

friendly cycling groups in Denver

Submitted by mvantieghem on Fri, 06/10/2016 - 1:05pm

Hi all,

I'm going on vacation to Denver CO to visit friends and I would like to get some riding in! Since there are a ton of groups, I am wondering if anyone who has lived in Denver / familiar with the area might have recommendations for friendly, non-racing B-level cycling groups that I could look into riding with. Also, any suggested routes for riding  and recommendations for where to rent a good road bike would be appreciated!

Hi all,

I'm going on a vacation to Denver CO to visit some friends and I would like to get some cycling in! I am just wondering if anyone who used to live there or knows the area well can recommend some friendly, non-racing B-level cycling groups that I can look into riding with. There are a TON of cyclists out there so I don't know where to start! Also recommendations for renting a bike out there, or recommended routes, would also be appreciated!

C-SIG Graduates...Listen up!

Submitted by CWaaser on Wed, 06/08/2016 - 6:00pm

Remember we told you we would expect you to volunteer in some capacity after the SIG ended?  Well, here's a lovely opportunity.  Ellen Jaffe has posted a C-14 Prep Crew ride for the Newcomers Ride this Sunday. https://nycc.org/node/79666  You get to ride at a pleasant pace out to Pascack Brook Park, help with the set-up and clean-up for the picnic (get incentive points), and ride home.  We'd love to see 4 or 5 of you sign up for this easy and fun volunteer opportunity.

Hope to see you out there.

Auction of Anchorman DVD signed by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell

Submitted by jpiven on Wed, 06/08/2016 - 12:43pm

What’s this doing on the NYCC message board? The director of The Big Short and Anchorman has offered the signed DVD to raise funds to fight kids’ cancer as part of the Great Cycle Challenge. He’d like me to auction the disc to our cyclists to garner funds for the charity cause.

I’ll take private email bids for the duration of the Great Cycle Challenge, which spans the month of June.

Of course if you don’t wish to own this cinematic masterpiece (second only to films like Citizen Kane and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes), you can simply donate your quatloos to my Cycle Challenge page or sign up to raise your own ducats for the kids.

Thanks,

Jer

Seeing as though the cost of the ENY event is the same regardless of which ride you register for, can anyone idicate if you're allowed to register for one ride distance and then decide to ride a different distance at a later date? Any and all informaion would be appreciated.
