The New New York Bridge shared use path terminus designs have been selected. Alternative F was selected for the Rockland side. This is the design we lobbied for, although there still is no direct access from Piermont Ave. You can see both designs (Rockland and Westchester) here. It looks like there will be fairly easy direct access coming south from Nyack. Coming north from Piermont, we'll probably have to go into Nyack and turn back south on Franklin St. to access the path.

I'm about to begin riding Central Park laps in the evenings (works better for my schedule than the morning). Does anyone know if police are ticketing cyclists for going through red lights after 7pm? (I'm very careful when going through one, but if no one's crossing, I'd obviously rather not stop and then start up again for every red light.)

Beware, there is a tree down across the road early on. If with a few people can pass the bikes through. If on your own a little tricky.

Does anyone know what happened this morning in the park...around 6:30am? Looked like car on bike...a girl was down but conscience. Right after the Harlem Hill. Not sure what a car was doing in the park at that time anyway. What are the car rules for the park? I see cars in there very early and I'm sure they are not supposed to be there!

The Eddy Merckx Cycles USA crew crew will join us at Nomad Cycle on July 12th at 7-9 to show off the 2017 Eddy Merckx bikes.  They'll bring a bunch of bikes along to test ride.  We'll make a party out of it; sip some belgian beer etc.  

Even if you don't think you are in the market for a new bike, cant hurt to stop by; you'll be amazed how good these bikes are.  And might as well check out the shop while you are at it, no?

I know there are many bicycle "collectors" in the club. When you buy a new road bike and you keep the old one for whatever reasons (different 'feel', sentimental rides, resale value not an issue, still works fine...).

Do you ever ride the old bike more than once/twice a year? Or, do you mostly just have it to look at once in a while and pump the tires to give it some love?

Conversely, do you ever regret getting rid of a bike you've had for a while?
